Born to Fly explores transformation as a continuous process rather than a singular event. Constructed from sweeping bands of black and white, the composition unfolds through fluid, interconnected forms that evoke the emergence of a butterfly without ever fully depicting one. Instead of relying on literal representation, Sims creates an abstract visual language in which movement, energy, and evolution become the true subjects of the work.

Throughout the composition, spiral motifs, layered contours, and symbolic geometric elements appear like moments of discovery embedded within an ever-changing landscape.
